The rock R..O..C..K..S !! Its colour changes throughout the day . Uluru rock is composed of arkose, a coarse-grained sandstone rich in the mineral feldspar. The flaky surface of Uluru results from the chemical decay of minerals. the characteristic rusty colour of the exposed surface of these flakes is caused by the oxidation or rusting of the iron in the arkose.

My second piece for the ADAPTATIONS exhibition features a favourite old woollen dress from the late 80s that I had stored away in case I might need it. I loved that dress, not sure if the children enjoyed being seen with me when I wore it ;-))

Well the hypothesis proved wrong! I can't believe it... 4 days in a row when we can't comb... we might have to move to Tasmania where perfect conditions prevail.
The funny thing is these bold pieces are working so well and this is what I have previously tried to create as specialty pieces . I will put them away for those days when they won't be as abundant.

The colours and textures of Uluru must be seen to be believed. It was quite tricky getting the light right.
