"Seminal!" she shouted from the back row. What was a murmur grew to an incandescent clamoring. The sound of chair legs scraping across the weathered, wooden floor echoed throughout the church atrium. "No more of that guff!" "My word! I never!" "Blatant, foul faced lying!"

After everyone was gone, I flopped back down in my chair, the thumping reverberating through the hollow area below the raised dais. I lifted my head in an exasperated look skyward and blew out a loud sigh.

Just then, the ancillary door creaked open to my left and Katie peeked her head in. The innuendo between us recently had ramped up to feverish pitch and I thought, 'oh god! What now?' She was so young (compared to me) and I was so old (compared to...well, pretty well anything). "Paul?" she questions, pacing slowly towards me...her voice soft amongst the aged timbers and vacant expanse of this old room. "What did you say?"
I straightened myself in the chair and attempted to appear nonchalant. I flung my hand out across the vacant seating before me in a manner that suggested, ‘it was all their fault, not mine’… "I just said that I wasn't going to fuss with Fence Friday titles anymore."
At this point, she was beside me and her hand went to my shoulder. I tell you, honestly, I wanted to run, I wanted to get the fuck out of there...I didn't.

It's a photowalk, for heaven's sake...you take pictures!

Swans (as most birds) look askance out of their eyes...that is, the swan is not looking down at the water but rather, out of its left eye at the collection of people up there on the shore and thinking to itself, "WTF! Those poor humans have mechanical cylinders stuck in their eyes and no matter how much they twist and turn at them, they can't pull them away! Oh! I am so glad I am a swan!"

Barry's musical suggestion (and I concur) is: Here, There and Everywhere - The Beatles...perfect!

Well sometimes, in a fit of madness, one will do some crazy shit...umm, like wake up at the un-Godly hour of 4:00 am, in order to drive to a location some kilometers away, with a couple of other like-minded nutjobs, so as to capture with a photographic tool of some sort, the sun as it rises above the horizon.
