- I tuoi occhi sono una distesa di verde tranquillità. Nascono fiori dove posi lo sguardo.
- Riesci a leggere nei miei occhi?
- I tuoi occhi raccontano favole e e bugie di oscuri tramonti e disegnano scie incantate negli specchi in cui si riflettono.
- Cosa vedi nei miei occhi?
- I tuoi occhi sono chiare vallate di nuvole, posso leggere tutto ciò che pensi. Cosa vedi nei miei occhi?

CAPITOLO I - Il drago e la fenice

- Che cosa cerchi nera fanciulla?
- Guerra e lotta io cerco. Mi muovo nel buio e nell'acqua, non temo che il mio riflesso (che non conosco). Armi affilate sono i miei pensieri; artigli e zanne le mie bianche sembianze. Mi nutro di sfide e di terrore. La mia anima è un verde smeraldo.
- Qual è la tua meta rossa creatura?
- Né meta, né casa, né fine io cerco. Il mio scopo é l'eterno bruciare. Consumo il mio spirito cospargendomi di nuvole. Dolore e piacere si fondono nel mio essere. Sono fuoco, aria, vento.
La mia fiamma é eterna.

CHAPTER I- The dragon and the phoenix

- What are you looking for dark maiden?
- It's war and struggle that I look for. I move along in the dark and in the water. I fear only my reflection (and I don't know it).
My thoughts are sharp weapons, claws and fangs are my white semblances. I feed myself with challenges and terror. My soul is a green emerald.
- What is your destination red creature?
- My purpose is not a destination, nor a house or an end. My aim is to burn forever. I consume my spirit sprinkling myself with clouds. Sorrow and pleasure blend together in my being. I am fire, air and wind.
My flame is immortal.

I was a queen, I had great power. The sky was my mirror, the night my starry pillow. Then I sold my power to have a heart but as soon as I had it it fell apart. I knew the sorrow of an empty soul for my heart is always meant to be alone.

I'm trying to develop a new style in my artwork. This is not pure digital painting, it's a photo but I manipulated it in order to look like a painting :)

We shot this image in my B&B in Naples. It was challenging because we had to arrange the setting with the things we found in the room, but we were very lucky because there were this crystal ball-like lamp which is just perfect for this concept!

Some news for you friends....
I decided to organize my first workshop in Italy, this time will be in my city but I wish I can start a cycle of workshops all over Italy and, why not, Europe maybe :)
more info on my blog.
Next news is very exciting, I'll be doing a collab with one of the most talented contemporary photographer, Francesca Errichiello from Naples. I'll go there this weekend and we will spend 3 intense days shooting, talking and walking around her beautiful town. I can't wait!

Subjects that vanish or get fragmentized are something you can find quite easily in my work. I make images like these when I feel I want to vanish or I feel a sense of fracture, breach either in myself or in connection with something around me.
