Lived In Dreams

Worlds.Away posted a photo:

This past weekend Ryan, Federico and I explored the Winkler & Morden area in Southern Manitoba where we found this lovely old house in a grove of old trees.

After taking a few low perspective shots, I tried a different technique to try and realize the image I had in mind. Fully extended, my tripod will go about 5 1/2 feet high but I wanted a much higher perspective. Using a remote shutter, I raised the tripod above my head as high as I could and pressed the remote shutter, bracketing 3 exposures with each attempt (the sky would've been impossible otherwise). I kept shooting this way until I managed a composition that I was happy with. In this photo, the camera height is as high as the base of the second storey window.

I've processed this shot about a half dozen times by now, this being my latest attempt. There are so many ways to go with this shot, but for now I'll stay with this one. :)

*Edit: Title change, past tense seems more appropriate.
