&lt;p&gt;This is the Jagdpanzer, one of a number of turret-less tanks used by the Germans during World War 2.&lt;br /&gt;

Note the infamous (or famous, depending on which side you're on) 88mm main gun, which employed a Gerlich &amp;quot;taper bore&amp;quot; design (the inside diameter of the barrel is smaller at the muzzle than at the breach, and a soft metal skirt around the shell is compressed as the round moves through the barrel, helping maintain gas pressure and increasing muzzle velocity).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also note the boxy, sloped armor and the machine gun mount on the left (missing the machine gun barrel, in this specimen).&lt;/p&gt;</description>
