This is a example of the type of artwork that was throughout a spa I onced owned. I wanted it to look like an Egyptian Temple. The ceilings were painted to reflect sky scenes with clouds in some rooms and egyptian motif on other ceilings. SOLD

Ink drawing I love the armadillo because he is tuff, strong on the outside but his underbelly is soft. With his helmet of a body he protects himself but underneath he is a softy. He reminds of me.

The more you look at this picture the more you see. Carmen is dancing on a table to entertain her cat pals. This group is all inclusive with the grey gay couple dancing together to the boys waving and drooling over her sexiness. She is at the Copa Cabana and everyone is partying down. Hope you enjoy her. Unfortunately this is not a good picture and the original was SOLD

I appreciate all cultures and spiritual truths. I enjoy creating many different types of spiritual work.. I have meditated with the Hindu's, said the rosary with the Catholics, been saved with the born AGAIN, spoke in tongues with the Penecostals, studied the bible with the Jehovah Witnesses, resonate with the Universalists, attended churches with the Christian Science followers, to finally come to a place where I am not interested in organized religions but feel I am a spiritual person living to the best of my ability to make the world a better place. I have always been on a spiritual path even when I didn't know it. i HATE ANYONE IMPOSING THEIR RELIGIOUS DOGMA UPON ME. I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF SPIRITUAL ABUSE AND HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR IT AT ALL.

Cezar Chavez from Delano California worked for the equal rights and dignity of the farm workers. Cezar worked in the fields being sprayed with pestcides and no rights or protections for the individual. He was a hero for the immigrant and American citizens who worked in the fields. He wanted justice and protection for those who pick our food.,

A bust of Frida Kahlo sculpted with clay and glazed with iron Oxide Frida my mentor for art and someone whose life parallels mine. She was a women who stood out, lived her life the way she wanted to and expressed herself and her life through her surrealistic art. I identify with her and when I did this sculpture i emersed myself in her life by researching and studying every aspect of her being. it was important for me to capture her as she was.

I have always honored the Native American, as the true American. Exploited by colonist and the U.S government they fought bravely for their stolen land.. I admire the indigenous lifeway spiritual life and sacred rituals and connection to nature. We can learn much from our native people. A clay mask embellished with feathers, torquoise, beads, fake fur and wood. He is a Healer and Medicine Man to his tribe.

Amazing Fish

Mixed media collage of actual fish found off the coast of California. It is the most unusual fish I have seen with multi colors to match its environment. This rockfish or also called scorpionfish at one time was beling eliminated through pollution and overfishing. This fish completely changes with its surroundings and can camouflage to hide itself. They are so unusual and so different within this category of fish that I find them to be extraordinary. This was a painting using acrylic paint to duplicate the fish the environment was done with pieces of magazines. It is one of my favorite collages.

Acrylic, painting done to honor my grandmother. Her name was "Luz" which means Light. It was a perfect name for her. She was my light. One of the eldest grandchildren" began calling her "Mama Nina" because she was his grandmother and God Mother. All 58 grandchildren and thirty eight great grandchildren called her by this endearing name. She will always have a special place in my heart and in every encounter she showed me nothing but unconditional love. My fond memories as a child are of her rubbing my back and singing lullabies in Spanish to put me to sleep.

This women is a laborer in the cotton fields of Syria. She is working in the hot sun with her baby balanced on her back. Her hands are beat up after years of hard labor. She is wearing the customary clothes which makes it unbearably uncomfortable under the hot sun. When I saw this women in a National Geographic I had to paint her. When I look at her I see how lucky we are to be where we live. This picture always makes me feel gratitude for the many gifts of my life.

Acrylic painting depicting an alien Madonna & Child. The baby is wearing a crown of leaves and rhinestones. This mother has a pyramid in her jewelry reflecting she has been here since the days of the Egyptian Empire. The flower background represents nature and our connection to it. The grey in her hair symbolizes her old soul which has lived through l00's of lifetimes.
