Increasingly difficult to get into Sandy Point for sunrises. If I could afford a boat, it would be easier, since they allow boaters 24hr access. Oh well. At least we managed to get in for a sunrise.
The weather around here has become unpredictable. Snow or no snow, cloudy or clear, so regardless of which source one checks, it is a crap shoot, like on this morning.

breaking ______-fill in the blanks

My buddies and I have been talking about going to Sandy Point for a sunrise after a snowfall, and I made it! Sandy Point State Park is difficult to get into before 7am, if you are not a boater or a fisherman. I just can't fathom why they will let these two groups in early, but not us photographers.
Today was even more difficult due to the Polar Bear plunge. Well, thanks to my new friend, Jen, and her fishing gear, we were able to gain access before 7am. My friend, Pete, was not as fortunate. He arrived about 20 minutes after I did and the troopers turned him away, and that really sucked. Pete and Sandy Point have some history, and it would be best to let him vociferate on this subject.
To make matters worse, the forecast was just plain wrong! The Weather Channel said partly cloudy @ sunrise. Well, they got it half right-the cloudy part. So, all in all, the force was not kind. Jen and I did get a few shots in (with color). I think she fared better than. Most of mine will find its way into Nik for a B&W conversion.

This was one of few that I managed to glean some color from. Maybe next snowfall will be better? I can always wish.
