Just finished the climb through the mist and preparing for final push to Emerald Pool, the half-way point to Nevada Falls.....all uphill and more to come.

rainbow over the valley

Classic view of Yosemite Valley with Bridalveil Falls in the background, enhanced by the rainbow. If you look closely, there is a double rainbow that started to show, but couldn't fully materialize due to the cloud cover. Taken at the Tunnel View Vista, just outside of the Wawona Tunnel.

Vernal Falls
Signs are posted everywhere to stay away from the water, yet people disregard the signs to get the "shot"
Nothing but rocks at the bottom of this falls. Last month, a group of 10 people, all friends and family, climbed over the fence for a photo op, 3 never returned. One person interviewd was standing right here and looked into the eyes of one victim just as he went over.
As photographers, we often take some risks to get the best shot possible, but there are limits. Personally, there are no pictures worth dying for.

I wonder if the eggs will be rainbow colored?
