This is my lovely wife on the beach.

Me and Rockcake have been happily marred for four years today. The traditional gift for the 4th year is fruit, as Rockcakes is a bit of traditionalist I received this morning (I got her some pencils so she could draw her own fruit). You can see the 1st and 2nd pictures I took of my Rockcakes as my wife here and here.

for those none brighton people yes there is sand on the beach. only at low tide though.

this was shot for my photo camp 2011 application, each applicant was asked to submit a self portrait. i was a bit slake, i only realized there was 1 day left tuesday afternoon when i was on my way back from london to brighton! i tried a few things that evening and the following morning then got the filmed deved wednesday. i this this digirantlly, the camera was on a tripod and was was lieing down in a cold stream before my swim. the fresh water streams are always a little colder than sea so that's why i have little bit of a shocked look on my face

in case you where wondering the necklace was made by my lovely wife!

photo camp 2011 is texas this year. if i go i might run a hot shots workshop in either houston or austin around 11th of june. if think you might be interested in that drop me a flicker mail or get in touch via email. my address is on the contact page of my site. i have of course got some up coming dates in brighton to!

hoping to get one of these done when i in san francisco next week! while there i have a hectic schedule first of i will be at phoot camp on the 1st weekend where i am very looking forward seeing sgoralnick, codooaustin and Laura Brunow Miner. also looking forward to meeting Amit Gupta for the 1st time. when i get back i am giving a talk and having a signing for my book hot shots on monday the 12th at the book smith. for more details about the signing you can check my site here. I have set up an Facebook event page and Upcoming page for this event.

i am also running my photography aptly named hot shots 2x on thursday 15th and friday 16th of october then saturday 17th and sunday 18th of October. there are still a few spots left on both if you are interest there are full details here on my site

there is also going to be a less formal signing meet and greet at conical books on thursday night but i don't have many details on that yet, just flickr mail and send you details when i have them.

the music is by general fuzz its called "eye heart not" you can download it free from his site on this page. i like it so much i have actually used it before

this was shot for my new book on toy cameras with a holga 35 bc and lomography branded 200asa X pro film. the bc holga 35 bc stands for blackened coroners its meant to make the corners of you images blackened, in other words give you extra vignetting and it works very lomo LCA esc but only really good for clear bright days. check out the other cameras i included on my site here. you can find out more about my book in on my blog . you can also see a little video flip though of the book on my flickr stream here
