The Endless Sunset of Ko Samui

After I'd flown 20 hours (including the stop in Seoul) to Bangkok, and a quick flight to Surat Thani, I had to take a ferry to Ko Phangnan to meet my brother. It was my first time outside in Thailand...the warm evening air and gentle sway of the boat, combined with the low hum of the diesel engines taking me across the sea, were mesmerizing. I'm not advocating riding ferries all the time in Thailand because there's too much beauty to see, but as a first day, with a view like that, it's pretty darn nice.

I think understandably, there were a lot of occasions when I wish I'd brought more than just my 50mm. This was one of them. That said, I'm still by far happiest with my film images, there's something about film and feels so organic, no chips or brains, just a chemical reaction on a physical space...it's precious. I won't be editing any of these film shots.

Finally unpacked. I'm going to be finding, organizing, and using all of my camera gear again soon, right after I finish what needs to be done for work. Hoping I can finish by noon. Go sharks!
