is it not always the same.....the season i mean...all the promise of renewal...walks in the sunshine, birds in their best dress, burgeoning with nature's drive....singing their hearts out, boys putting on a show for the girls. Spikes of green shoots, forcing the soil to move out of the way..blossoms bursting forth with vivacious abandon..
The sun is warmer, the rains gentler, the wind carries the sweet smells of awakening
Ok .........I could go on but I won't bore you
LOL
This is from the archives of course, there are no magnolias blossoming yet but soon..........soon. I can wait

I am not sure if I posted this or not.

I hope everyone is having a good new year so far..Sorry I have not been around. Like many others, times have been a bit tough. All one needs is a few extra curves thrown at them and it starts to get complicated. One can reach a breaking point and so must draw back and reassess, re-evaluate....and ride out the bumps..
Here's hoping the bumps get smaller for everyone who has been experiencing them

I have not picked up my camera in months. This I will rectify soon. (otherwise I would have posted something new)

Since I may not be able to catch up much just yet, I do want to apologise to those of whom thought I had just up and abandoned flickr, my contacts, friends and admin duties

Here, in the Northern Hemisphere, on September 22nd of 2009, we celebrate the Fall or Autumnal Equinox
The name "equinox" itself is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), therefore the length of night and day, light and dark are equal. On the day of the fall solstice, the sun enters the sign of Libra: the constellation appropriately represented as scales and balance. It is also associated with apples as potent symbols of death, rebirth and transformation. (Avalon is one of the Celtic names given for the Island of the Blessed Dead and literally means the "land of apples.")
