A day trip to London yesterday with the Flickr Cambridge Shooters Group (UK Chapter).
This is Hungerford Bridge on the South Bank side and 3 of these were part of the group I was with, the other two are imposters.

A nice photo day was had.

I had planned to go out and do some landscape shots today. The pretty weather girl had said that this weekend was going to be nice, but last night I could feel a cold starting. Sure enough, I awoke this morning at deaths door! Most likely I've got the worst case of man-flu in the history of histories, either that or a plague variant. I managed to make it to the sofa where I watched a film and the rugby before heading up the town to replenish the paracetamol and tissue stocks. I only managed a few shots up the town before having to head home, this being one of them.
Allegedly tomorrow is supposed to be nice, so I might get a days shooting tomorrow, assuming I survive the night.

Get Pushed!! (Rnd 2) - Posed Portrait

This is my submission for the Get Pushed!! challenge group, where entrants are paired up and challenge each other to shoot something different than they ordinarily would shoot. For Round 2 I was paired with the multi-talented Chemival and was challenged to take a Posed Portrait.

Mike obviously knows me well enough from my stream, because this really was ~~shoving~~ pushing me. I thought about this and came up with three possible plans (A, B and C). Plan A failed because my stoopid friends cannot pose for the camera without pulling a face or being eejits. Plan B then had to come into action - tourists!

These guys are from Shanghai and are in Cambridge at a Conference in St John's college. I met them atop one of the many bridges in Cambridge taking shots of each other with the colleges and punts in the background. Perfect! A quick offer to take a shot of them together with their camera was enough to start a conversation with them (foolishly I did not ask their names, doh!) and then after a brief talk about what they were doing and what they should see in and around Cambridge, I asked if I could take a shot of the two of them. They were only too happy to oblige. So thanks guys, much appreciated.

You don't want to know what Plan C was ;-)
