104 assisted a break down on the evening of Tuesday 19 February by returning the passengers to 'whence they came'. The following morning, Mr Dobies and I collected her from overnight undercover storage and enjoyed a very tasty lunch at the Strawberry Garden Centre Tea Rooms en route home. The Tea Rooms are well worth a visit, as we have done so regularly when in the area.

Er...104 still wears the running day letter from last weekend's Hanley Finale!

Whilst still on the return journey home from Uttoxeter, a stop for a photo opportunity was afforded by the First service bus just having left the bus stop on the approach road to Alsager from Church Lawton. With her retro fitted semi-auto box, 104 is a good 'un to drive.

The Saturday evening before the 2012 August Bank Holiday, with the damp ground revealing signs of preparation, three of Mr Dobies' Fledgling Fleet are ready for the next two days' excursions. A shaft of light reflected off the front of the Leopard highlights the quality of Reliance Bus Work's recent panel craft on 104. The next morning, 127 (on the right) left early to take part in the 1960s themed event at Oulton Park Race Track and 104 joined her Crosville friends at Glyndyfrdwy for the Llangollen Bus Rally & Classic Transport Weekend. Bank Holiday Monday saw 805 (centre) take a party to Oulton Park to celebrate a 21st Birthday, 60s style.

...for the majority of buses before embarking on a trip. 103 was no exception on the morning of the Summer Road Transport Rally, Ruddington. The Leopard had recently arrived in North Staffordshire. As Part of the Bournemouth collection, CRU 103C has joined Roadliner KRU 55F for a bit of TLC at Reliance Bus Works.

Recently restored GFM 104X adds scale to my photo of the Egerton Bridge, situated between Egerton Dock and Morpeth Dock Birkenhead. It is a working example of a bascule bridge, built between 1928 and 1931, replacing an earlier swing bridge. The bridge and the machine house were completely restored in 1993 and opened to the public in 1995.

...outside the coach station in Llandudno after a successful visit to the Transport Festival yesterday. The good weather forecast had boosted numbers travelling aboard the 'old DOG', which performed faultlessly. Her recently fitted heating system wasn't required but with the great British weather, it was better to be safe than sorry! This was 104's second visit to the annual festival, last year's being her debut outing after major restoration at Reliance Bus Works.

Sandbach Festival of Transport is held on and around the little Cheshire market town’s Common. There are attractions over the two day event which appeal to all members of the family. Potteries Omnibus Preservation Society (POPS) attends the Sunday festivities and takes part in the parade through the town. This year, Bristol VR OEH 604M was chosen to represent the society and she delighted the young and elderly, and in particular, those of an age who remember, and even drove, VR’s in service.

Ultra low height Eastern Coach Works bodied PMT 604 heads the double parking at the bus stops on the Common in Sandbach 21.04.12

The Golden Fleece Inn in Brough serves simple good food. The Kirkby Stephen and Brough Easter Commercial Vehicle Rally and Running Days see stalls and displays in Kirkby Stephen Town Centre, East Station yard and Brough and free preserved bus services link all sites. Yesterday was my first visit to this wonderful annual event...the more eagle eyed of you will have noticed 127 in the background, our transport for the day... The sunshie (though not evident here) and milder temperatures than of late added to the enjoyment of the day.

One of the buses taking part in the shuttle service, Daimler Fleetline Teesside L544, JDC 544L, is captured approaching Brough's Main Street and the terminus.

Not the action packed thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger but the last First service bus (the 2355, 25 - Keele) to leave the soon-to-be-demolished Hanley Bus Station. Despite the cool temperatures and biting wind, the occasion was witnessed by Flickrite 'Decker Dave' and a friend. The near desolate 60s designed and built bus station was looking worn and fatigued after years of service. Its replacement, much smaller and sited further away from the main shopping centre, will open at 0500.

A fuel stop en route to the CVR's Winter Steam Gala this morning. Despite the cool temperatures and a flurry or two of snow, it was a very enjoyable day. Weymann bodied AEC Reliance "Jubilee Class" SL805, 805 EVT, required but little refuelling after taking part in Sunday's Hanley Finale Running Day which took place on Hanley Bus Station last Sunday before it's imminent closure.

Leyland Atlanteans Merseyside PTE 1788 OEM 788S (1978) and PTE 1003 A323GLV (1993) at this year's Wirral Bus and Tram Show, Birkenhead.

Hamilton Square Railway Station's large hydraulic lift tower, a Grade II listed building, dominates the skyline. The underground station was built by by the Mersey Railway, opened on 1 February 1886 and electrified in 1903 hence the replica "Frequent electric trains" sign on the tower.
