&lt;p&gt;I made a trip to the Fitch Nature Preserve this morning to check out the hackberry butterfly invasion. Earlier this month, they noticed an extraordinary amount of catapillars in the nearby hackberry trees and they are beginning to hatch. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There were hundreds of hackberries, but I became entranced by the pretty butterflies munching on the milkweed instead. I used my 35mm lens, stepped in close with my tripod, set the timer and walked down the path. They were so sweet to stay right there.&lt;br /&gt;
