This is a 13 minute exposure of the Northumberlandia sculpture, I put it into Smart Photo Editor on the Mac and added a darken filter, really like the result, hope You do too!

This is one of the platforms on the sands at Holy Island that You use if You get caught by the tide, the poles leading off into the distance mark a walk you can take to the island if You choose. Met Stu Patterson and Richard Goddard here while taking this. Good to meet You Guys!

Stayed at Kirkcudbright for a night and luckily the tide was right for me to get down and photograph the wreck of the schooner Monreith that lies in Goat Well Bay, the Monreith is said to have run aground in difficult weather on 12 Nov. 1900. All its crew escaped alive thanks to the Kirkcudbright Lifeboat.

Took this same shot a while ago but it was a pretty grey day so i did it in mono, this time I waited for the sunrise to cast a beautiful golden light on the Snook and the old boat in the foreground. Im really pleased how this shot turned out.

Under My Umbrella

This shot took a few attempts to get right, first attempt the sparks were not spread enough, looked ok but not good enough. Second attempt the umbrella caught fire, I could see a glow through the gasmask but I thought my coat had caught fire so I dropped the umbrella and ruined the shot! Lastly this shot...well again the umbrella caught fire but I held on to it until Jono flashed the background and then run down to extinguish the fire! Shot in the bag, and only a pound shop umbrella got harmed during the making of this shot!!
