The promise of free health care attracted thousands to the Los Angeles Forum in Inglewood, Calif., for the second day in a row Wednesday. Three rows reserved for dental care were part of the menu of services offered by Remote Area Medical, which planned to run the event for eight days.

People outside the arena raised their hands before dawn on Tuesday after organizers asked those holding tickets with numbers up to 100 to identify themselves. The group was already overwhelmed on the first day after allowing 1,500 people through the door, nearly 500 of whom had still not been served by day's end and had to return early Wednesday.
