This was one of the 5 shoots i did in a day on a beach. wow!

to achieve the shot was not so difficult, used a 500D with a kit lens, used a 580EX-II lit wirelessly camera rtight from above shooting down at 1/2 power modified with a beauty dish..

quite extensive post-pro but i'm pretty happy with how it turned out :)

did a simple shoot in a historical site in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. the theme was a fusion of dances, and i was really happy with this one.

Hi, long time no post! Been so busy havent had a real chance at a photoshoot..

This one's less than 48 hours ago, no actual theme or concept in mind just mashed what might look good in front of camera and shot away!

Used a single 580EXII modified via a 40cm beauty dish, single strobe from couple's left or camera right :)

Jogjakarta is where I live, and the city holds an annual series of events to celebrate its "birthday", part of that is this carnival filled with "stuff"

I had 2 cameras with me, but the 24-105 proved useless as I cannot get as near as I would've liked to the centre of the street (there were thousands of people flooding the street!) so ended up using the trusty 135mm to capture this, did the framing intentionally in-between the crowd so it kinda fives that mysterious tone amids the darkness of the frame :)

another one from this couple's set.. looking at the skies during the shoot I knew I had to take lots of photos using wide from a low vantage, to emphasixe the vast beauty of the skies :)

I had to run backwards while holding the camera to make sure I was able to fully capture not just the couple but their relflections.. I love the effect it brings to the mood of the photo, and this was not a simple task to do as I was using my mid-tele fix (135mm f/2L) but seeing how it turned out; it was all worth the while

Second photo I'm uploading from this set of photos. I enjoyed working with the couple, they captured the look I was going for pretty nicely :)

2 lights were used. A 580EX II on camera left to illuminate the couple as main light at 1/2 power, and a Yongnuo flash on camera far right to illuminate the set and give a light fill to the couple at 1/8 power, no light modifiers were used except a large diffusing screen in front of the 580EX

I did another couple's photography today and it was fun! Dicky and Yuyun are great people to work with, easy to direct and looks quite great on the camera. We tried to emulate sort of a retro, rock and roll theme on this one with old fashioned polkadot dress, and leather jackets and aviator sunnies and the sort. Enjoy!

Two lights, a 580EX II on camera right as the key light at 1/2 power, diffused. A YongNuo at 1/4 power on camera left, positioned much lower than the couple to fill the couple on an even angle

This photo was achieved without editing, without any any use of strobes, just me, them, the crew, and the sun!

I took this photo only about 7 hours ago, and because I don't do editings, this one's fresh from the camera. Taken with my personally made picture style of high contrast low saturation, I pretty much enjoyed working with the couple. They've been dating for more than 6 years! I've been proud to have been given the honour to capture the relationship that they had. It's been awesome!

Strobist :
580EX II without any modifiers shot at 1/2 power wireless-ly from camera left. Strobe was positioned much lower than the couple, and I used ND8 to create a dark grimy and dramatic effect on the skies. The strobe was to balance out the exposure between foreground and background

Second shoot in home town Bengkulu, I personally thought this one's far better than the first. Cece's still in highschool but she's willing to experiment with so that's nice. Went for another simple street look, just to keep things on the safe side fashion wise, took this at about 3 in the afternoon in a local China town here.
