Beautiful Gazania

Who would think that a noxious weed could be so beautiful. This is a Gazania from the Asteraceae family which is native to South Africa. Many hybrids have been developed in cultivation which makes identification difficult. This is one of several in my wife's garden.

is situated in Wagga Wagga in southern New South Wales.

Riverina Oils & Bio Energy Pty Ltd (ROBE) has built a state of the art integrated oilseed crushing and refining plant with a crushing capacity of 500 tonnes of oilseeds per day. ROBE can produce 200 tonnes of refined vegetable oil and 300 tonnes of vegetable protein meal per day for the poultry, dairy and animal feed industries.

Full Moon after March Equinox
This Full Moon is called the Worm Moon in the Northern Hemisphere as it means the coming of spring. The ground thaws and earthworm casts appear, heralding the Robins.
It is this Full Moon that sets the date for Easter each year as Easter Sunday is set as the first Sunday after the March Equinox.

Thank you to Michael Maher in Wagga Wagga for allowing me to use my camera on his telescope. It also gives me a chance to discuss the meaning of life and all that 42 type stuff with him.

We spent three days at this little piece of heaven. Set beside the mighty Murray River is this beautiful gem of a place which is very popular with the holiday makers. A great place for swimming, boating and camping with a great family atmosphere.

My wife and I went there for a Geocaching event with our friends and really enjoyed ourselves.
