I love when books are made with paper that has rough edges. I had been photographing art supplies in our library and I looked up and decided to grab a couple of my favorites - A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.

Natural Light from Windows (...did I use a flash too..? hm..)

Cute flowers in the front yard. I would love to save up for a macro lens!

I'm so proud of the picture and yet it has only gotten 5 views :( that's always disappointing.

You should have seen my ridiculous setup for these bottle pictures. I had a desk lamp carefully balanced with a sheet of tracing paper taped to a pencil on the lamp to diffuse the light, then I had to set the timer on the camera so I could use my hands to hold reflectors. Oh and I used a stack of books to bring the bottle up to the height for the lamp lol. It looked like I had set up a crazy science experiment in the corner of my room.

Things I would have done differently:
Her right eye is out of focus, unlike her left eye...wish I had seen that while we were still out there.
The flower could have been..fresher...lol

I always enjoy editing my photos and making something interesting. It's almost an OCD thing. I HAVE to retouch it and see what I can do. This is not because I'm unhappy with the original photos, I do this because I can explore my creativity.
