I have just written an artical about my thoughts on the last ever episode of Last of the Summer Wine for anybody that is interested - www.garyjsphotography.co.uk. It was filmed in and around the valleys that I call home.

Many thanks for the fantastic response to my last upload :) It was nice that so many people got to see a bit of this area.

This was taken slightly earlier on the same morning as my last shot. The hill in the distance is Holme Moss with Issues Edge and Good bent as you come forwards. The path I was on forms part of the Kirklees Way - a long distance walk (at 72 miles, I didn't quite make it round before I went to work!)

Again - the heather looks great if you are in the area at the moment and get chance to have a wander around the moors.

British Dutch Barn

The Dutch barn is the pole structure at the back of this building. The roof is raised as the piles go up.. Although the roof seems to be missing.

Mam Tor - Castleton, Hope Valley

After heading along the ridge, I just captured this view, looking back towards Hollins Cross and Lose Hill (not that you can see it!) before we headed into the fog that was sitting on the top of Mam Tor. I had to play with the black levels to retrieve some of the view from the fog..
