This is so sad in comparison to the real thing, I don't know if it's meant to be on Flickr.

Howdy y'all!
I'm back in Texas, if you couldn't tell from the landscape.
Flew into my hometown Thursday, drove up to the Panhandle on Friday, and spent all of today shooting for Parasomnia in Palo Duro Canyon. IT WAS SO HOT. After a lovely dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, and her family, I went and visited the Cadillac Ranch and Combine City for the first time. They're both these odd sculpture gardens where artist's buried vehicles into the ground. Google them if you've never heard of them!
(Or, go check out the extra photos of them on my instagram, @twigcapra)

So, that cadillac ain't photoshopped, it's really in the dirt!
Also, Flickr sharpening did a number on my editing...

My addition for Project 104! This week's theme was Vintage which can mean a lot of things depending on who you are. To me, it meant walking around through NYC thrift stores until I found this old rotary dial phone, and immediately wanted to make a photo mimicking the old romance comics. This photo is a lot more humorous than my normal work, and I like the change. It makes me want to do an entire series of pinups a la Lichtenstein...

Flickr totally BUTCHERED the quality on this one by the way...

This image is an addition to my Parasomnia series, and is the first of (hopefully) many more this summer. I'm taking Parasomnia in a different direction, one that I think will encompass my original intentions with more well informed ideas and practices. I'm excited to see what happens!
