As I referred before, I collect clothes catalogues. I decided to use some of them to make a Carnival suit, and ended up with this dress, made out of pages of those catalogues.
The colours of the picture are so vivid and strong that it really gets your attention. The position of the model is also very intriguing. She is looking for something and this way looks as if she is looking at you, as if she wants something, or doesn't know who you are. This position makes the head seem big compared to her body, but it’s that imbalance which gives life to the photograph. The painting she has and the fake eyelashes give her a dolly look, which together with colour, position and costume looks as if she is waiting to gain life and get out of the frame.

The environment in this picture is very mystic, starting with the fact that it’s a photograph of a mirror and mirrors are associated with mystical meaning, with links to a different world. The house itself is so ancient that emphasizes that mystical side, as it makes it look as if you are looking at something from a distant time. The saturation used reinforces the ancient feeling, as it makes the photograph look old too. The placement of the objects like the door and the vase in the middle and the model on the right hand side, creates a very interesting balance.

This is a cliché of a sexy woman. The position of the chin lifted up suggests desire and together with the mouth just a little bit open, gives you the impression that she is waiting for a kiss, or that she is about to kiss someone. The red lips under the light become a big feature and this is what catches people’s attention. Then the curves formed by the hair and the neckline keep you looking round and round through those curves, and make your look stay inside of the photograph.

Don’t you think I am really cool wearing all these brands?

Again a satire of fashion trends. There are nowadays many brands which charge huge amounts of money by something they make really cheaply. It’s incredible how people give importance to the brands they wear, and how you can be cool, or not, just for having “Dolce and Babanna” labeling your belt.
This photograph was thought to be as close as possible to real fashion photographs. The difference is that the model is wearing labels from clothes instead of the clothes.

This picture is the best one taken from the photo shooting over Skype. The black enveloping her face makes the photograph very mysterious and make her look very dark. This works well with her expression, which is very undefined. You can’t tell if she is sad or not, what is she thinking, if she is about to laugh or to cry.
