I found this shot in the archives from a sunrise at Watamu Beach, along the Indian Ocean in Kenya. What looks like a ship in the distance (there's also a small boat) is really a giant rock out at sea. This shot was handheld and this morning really made me wish I had brought my tripod.

This was the only rhino I saw in Africa. Sadly, these guys are endangered because of poachers that want the horns for medicine.

Buffalo are sometimes reported to kill more people in Africa than any other animal, although the same claim is also made of hippos and crocodiles. Buffalo are notorious among big game hunters as very dangerous animals, with wounded animals reported to ambush and attack pursuers.
