This image, along with the other I've posted, will be my last photos from the Indiana Meetup. It is also the last concept that a large group of us shot together on the last night before everyone left. I came up with a similar idea, involving Ethan's dad's old cars, and a "pin up" style, and then after talking to Taylor, who is the model here...we tweaked the idea and turned it in to this! It was so much fun to shoot and seeing everyone gather around in the low light while someone reflected and some one else threw flour was a wonderful ending to a life changing trip.

There are always new things to discover. There is always something unknown. You must simply open your eyes and free your mind to find them. Life is about the small moments, the little adventures, the short burst of utter bliss. Go out and find these moments, don't wait around for them to find you because they will come..but oh so few and far between.

Today, whilst runnething, I came up with this idea. I had gotten this AWESOME shirt at the thrift store a few weeks ago, and knew I wanted to use it, but wasn't sure how. It all came together when I looked out at this lake. Pose/composition inspired by the incredible Joeri.

This is another meet up photo shot in the abandoned factory. When I came up with this idea I knew I wanted to use David and Gilly was perfect because of her size and dat hair:D It was incredible to be able to work these two and actually have them model in one of MY photographs. It's crazy to think that one of the people I've followed and looked up to the longest on flickr (david) is in one of my pictures...still gets me!

I've actually been editing this off and on for a week, and I'm still not completely happy with it, but I'm not sure why and I finally said that it had been long enough...I need to just stop thinking so much and upload. So, here it is! I still have tons to edit from the meet up, but with other client stuff going on, school in 3 weeks or less and trying to enjoy summer, it's going to be a long slow process.

This is the incredible and brave Vera! She was so awesome about being in this water and didn't hesitate when I told her to put her face in the plant things. This shoot was originally put together by her, Katherine, and Chelsea...I believe.

I was actually having trouble deciding to put this one up, because I didn't have a solid feeling about my editing, but I couldn't think of what else to do either...I loved the overall photo so much, and I also didn't want her efforts to go to waste, so here it is:D I probably won't be posting meet up photos for a few days, I have 4 client shoots this week, so I'll be busybusybusy.

Finally! I've been so nervous about posting this photo from the meet up because the water was FREEZING and poor Gilly was shaking:/ But she's a frickin' trooper and WORKED it OUT.

I still have a few shots from the meet up to edit and such, but I'm getting sort've busy (yay:D) so they'll all be up over the next few weeks! To see the photos from the meet up by everyone who went, go here

Another Meet Up photo:D This is supremely talented and beautiful Vera who agreed to follow me into a dark hole that lead into this awesome smokestack and allow me to photograph her as a stood precariously above her on a rusted iron ladder. She was perfect for the shot, too! I'm quite pleased with the result:D

This is another photo from the Midwest Flickr Gathering. Something simple that I came up with quickly while we were at this awesome old barn. Model is the beautiful and VERY talented Rachel Baran. This is the very first photo that I've edited ENTIRELY with photoshop CS5!! Before, I was using Lightromm to edit once I did the expansions, but I need more control now that my ideas are becoming more complex. Thanks to this gathering I've learned enough from all of those phenomenal photographers to stop being so stubborn and make the switch! To see those photographers images from the gathering, go here!

This is an image from my trip to Florida right before I left for the Flickr Gathering. I wanted to experiment with longer exposures and for it to have that "painted" feeling. I meant to upload this yesterday as the first image of my FiNAL FOUR, but I was unhappy with it for a while and wanted to sleep on it so I could tweak it with a fresh mind! I will upload another self portrait today as todays photo:D ..I'm quite enjoying being able to take my time editing and having a number of choices to upload, I think this shows that I'm ready to move on from this project and that it has taught me what I need to know. I'm very excited for what's to come:D

I've Had an idea similar to this for a while now, but originally it was supposed to be much more conceptual and grandeur, but alas, it didn't work out as planned. I'm glad I shot something like this, though! A few mistakes here and there, but hey..it happens. I leave for the beach tomorrow and I'm very excited to shoot in another setting!:D Not sure bout uploading everyday, but I will be shooting and I'm going try my hand at video making:D

Yes, I woke up AGAIN for sunrise...sorry for the repetitiveness, but my body hates me. lol. This was inspired by the song Warrior by Kimbra, Mark Foster, and A-trak...which has been on repeat for the past few days. Also, I do believe this is Warrior 1 pose, for you yoga peoples. I've wanted to experiment more with body language, poses, and the use of movement (especially of fabric), so I took this morning as an opportunity to shoot some more stuff besides just this, and I rather like how a few came out. I'm also constantly practicing the whole "modeling" thing, since it's like a quiet form of acting. I'll post those photos on my Tumblr , if you could check them out, that would be awesomo!

I randomly woke up at 6am (I don't sleep well in my bed at home) and decided to go take another sunrise photo. It was quite nice, and I actually ended up accomplishing more before 10 before most people do in a day. lol

**I got to the beach on Friday, I'm quite excited about the photographic opportunities:D

I went to a friends birthday gathering last night, and didn't get home until 3:30, so I just decided to stay up and take a sunrise photo for today. I drove across town and almost missed it because I could decide on a location, but it was really beautiful and quite worth it. Afterwards, I stopped a bakery and got a delicioso cinnamon roll, then head home for a MUCH needed 4 hour nap. :P

This is another shot from my beach trip that was meant to be upload yesterday, but that obviously didn't happen. I will admit, this is not good. There are so many things that I didn't even think about while shooting this that were absolutely necessary for this to be the truly surreal photo I was going for. I'm uploading it anyway to remind myself that, although this project ends in TWO days, I still have a lot to learn and a long road ahead. :D

A simple portrait for my 300th day!! I can't believe it's already day 300, what a ride it has been! SInce I've decided to end this project on the one year anniversary I will be done quite soon, a bittersweet thought. I should reach about day 330something, and I'm okay with that:D
