I am revisiting these little bugs that I photographed 1 year ago as this photo is currently a finalist in Canon Australia's EOS 1 Wall Competition

The photo here is a slightly different composition to my other one (which was my first upload and one of the first photos I took with my Canon 7D) , flipped horizontally for a bit of variety

My photo is one of 8 finalists chosen by judge Joshua Holko Landscape, Nature and Wilderness Photographer. Two prizes will be awarded, a Judges Choice and a People's Choice. If you think my entry is worthy and feel like throwing a vote my way that would be great. Hopefully the larger images available to view here will give you a better indication of the photo's merits (or otherwise) than what is shown on the Canon site - think of it as insider's knowledge ;p

The theme is "ORDER IN NATURE"

"Nature is messy. Your challenge is to find a sense of structure and order amongst the chaos. The brief is about composing nature to make sense of the landscape. For example, use naturally occurring lines to guide my eye through the frame of the photograph. What's left out is just as important as what's included. Quality of light is critical, so find and compose your shot, then wait for the best/most dramatic light, such as at the start or end of a day.
I want to see the world captured in its natural state in a single frame, NOT Photoshop composites.
