This was taken an insanely long time ago when the camera quality was not that great as it is today.

So yesterday I went to Hart House to hang out with my old debate coach who is now one of my really great friends. We watched some of the novice debaters speak and they have a lot of potential, which I'm happy about. Debate Club was a little niche I carved for myself when I was in high school, as well as being the art star of the school. Some people say that if you think that high school was the time of your life, then your life now must be pretty pathetic. But the only reason I would ever want to return to that school is because I have real friends that went there and we were terribly close. I guess that this weekend I got to remember again that this is the world I had to leave behind and move on to a new one. However, I now chaperone the tournaments I once attended as a student. I give advice to the kids I had once had a hand in training. Seeing them flourish as people has been one of the most rewarding things to see in my life so far. I think that all of us who graduated from that school and that club find this to be true.

So, sometimes when I think my world is dark, I think about the wonderful things I have and still have, and I know that I'm only traveling into the light that life has to offer. :)

P.S. Chloe, you deserve every kind word that anyone has ever said about your photos because you're simply that awesome. It was a pleasure to write your testimonial. ;)
