The Glengesh pass in Co Donegal. From Glencolumbkille a road heads inland towards Ardara, through the wild and picturesque Glengesh Pass where the road meanders through sloping mountainous terrain. Glengesh ( Gleann Geis, Glen of the Swans) is one of two glaciated valleys that sculpture the northern edge of the Banagh peninsula. The steeply plunging flank of Common Mountain ( 503m / 1,653ft ) on the glen’s south side shows to advantage on the N56 approach road from Glenties. The glen carries the road between Ardara and Carrick to a height of 270m / 900ft over Glengesh Pass via a couple of hairpin bends. Glengesh Pass is a high pass with an elevated window on Loughros Beg Bay, exquisitely framed between the steep sided Glengesh and Mulmosog mountains. (From Self Drive Tours)

Ruins of a coastguard station at Teelin in West Donegal. Teelin was one of the first places settled in Ireland and was a major fishing port in its day. Interior of abandoned church at Killanummery. While it is roofless and the inside is totally bare, there is still a sense of spirituality that is not oftern found in other decaying churces.

abandoned house near Dromahair in Co Leitrim. Nice crop of daffodils still growing away - long after those who planted them have gone. Nice look ok but is a total wreck inside

A lot of old and broken stones in this cemetery - byt this looks to the oldest one still intact
