Demonstration photo of some techniques I have been playing with:

1) Timed exposure
2) High Dynamic Range
3) Panorama (Mosaic)

The image portrays a lonely strip mall at night. I took the photo just before midnight, using a Canon 20D w/ a Canon 20 mm EF lens. I used only available light. The camera was mounted on a tripod, and simply swivelled left-to-right. I used Photomatix to produce the HDR (4 photos on left, 3 photos on right) and Adobe Elements 2 to make the two photos able to fit together. The mosaic was created in Canon's PhotoStitch utility (with considerable coaxing by me). I used Elements 5 to darken the highlights.
