This is my brother, Lex and his horse, Luna. He is running for District Judge in our county in 2014 and asked me to take some shots of him for his campaign. This is just one I took while he walked her along the levy after I took shots of him and his wife with the courthouse behind them.

I had really good intentions. I had the camera with me every day but every day was busy and I was tired when I got off work and I just wanted to go home. The only pictures I took this week were at a gender reveal party on Sunday and I still haven't finished processing those. As you can see, after the balloons "sprang" from the box, Sydney discovered she was having a girl!

This is an old building on the outside of the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. It is behind a very tall fence so I couldn't explore. I stood on the street and took pictures from several angles.

My youngest daughter is learning to play the guitar. She asked if I wanted to hear a song. While I was listening and watching, I noticed the lines and knew this was my photo for this week.

so, let me tell you about my week. Two weeks ago, we decided to sell our house and build a new one instead of remodeling. After meeting with a real estate agent, we have been cleaning and purging and decluttering. This week, we paid someone to tear out the 1970's era wallpaper in the bathrooms and paint. They have been here all week and finished today. I have had to be here instead of out looking for a light picture. As I walked into the hall bathroom earlier, I was taken with how much brighter the light is now that the walls are white in there. These are the lights in there reflected in the mirror. I took it from the hall.

Today, I went to the World Aquarium as a chaperone with my daughter's class. She teaches Aquatic Science at a local high school and suggested I go since she knew I would love to take some pictures. This guy (or girl_ I have no clue) was behind a cage build of bamboo poles about 2" apart. I had to focus beyond the poles and you can sort of see them off to the left of this pic a bit. I like this one because he is focusing on me as I focus on him. I uploaded the whole series if you want to click thru and see the rest. I think he was flirting with me.
