On the side of the Merced River (Near Fern Creek) on a freezing Afternoon. Some of the mosses are not yet under snow but they will be soon.

NEF processed in Capture NX to TIFF and then Exported to JPEG to a 1200x800 sized image.

Over here in Bay Area, The Bengali Fall festival of Durga puja is squeezed in 2 days over the weekend. For my friends Who have heard about RIo Carnival, Mardi Gras, Tomatina etc, Durga Pujo in Kolkata would give each one of them a feating contest. For 5 days A city of over 10 Million People are on streets hopping Pandal to Pandals at night in illuminated streets.
