… di fatto il bagno è limitato alla zona protetta dalla rete e lo snorkeling è praticamente impossibile (poiché sarebbe da fare nella zona più esterna a ridosso delle rocce). Purtroppo questa è la spiaggia dove l’estate scorsa in agosto, due turisti sono stati uccisi a distanza di pochi giorni uno dall’altro da uno squalo killer.

... actually swimming is confined to the protected area network and the snorkeling is impossible (as it would be done in the area near the outer rocks). Unfortunately this is the beach where last summer in August, two tourists were killed by a shark killer on two different days.

Devo ammettere che Anse Lazio a Praslin rimane una delle mie spiagge preferite delle Seychelles. Inoltre è stato il primo incontro faccia a faccia con i famosi massi in granito! Una visione per gli occhi, grande, per nulla affollata (nessuna in verità, pensando ad altri luoghi del mondo sembra impossibile ma è veramente così), con sabbia bianca e sottile, un’acqua turchese davvero splendida, perfetta per fare il bagno, rilassarsi e fare anche un po’ di snorkeling, anche se ….

I must admit that Anse Lazio on Praslin is one of my favorite beaches in the Seychelles. It was also the first meeting face to face with the famous granite boulders! A vision for the eyes, large, not crowded at all (actually all the beaches in the Seychelles, if I think of other places in the world it seems impossible buti t is), with fine white sand, really beautiful turquoise water, perfect for swimming, relaxing and doing little snorkeling, even though ....

Il secondo giorno abbiamo preso il bus che passa circa ogni ora e fa l’intero giro dell’isola per andare ad Anse Lazio. Che dire? Dopo una bella faticata a piedi (perché il bus ferma a circa 20 minuti dalla spiaggia) tra salite e discese sotto il sole che già al mattino è caldissimo, l’afa che non molla poiché l’umidità è costantemente intorno al 90% … siamo stati decisamente ripagati da una vista spettacolare! Lascio a voi giudicare ☺

The second day we took the bus that runs about every hour and makes the entire trip around the island to go to Anse Lazio. What can I say? After a tough grueling walk (because the bus stops about 20 minutes from the beach) between up and down under the sun that in the morning is already hot, the heat that does not give up because the humidity is consistently around 90% ... we’ve been significantly rewarded by a spectacular views! Judge for yourself☺

Il nostro primo giorno a Praslin (ineffetti mezza giornata essendo arrivati per ora di pranzo) l’abbiamo passata sulla spiaggia di Grand’Anse, troppo stanchi per esplorare da subito l’isola dopo circa 24 ore di viaggio tra aerei, scali e traghetto. Completo relax sui lettini forniti dalla Guesthouse, pisolino, bagnetto, passeggiata sulla spiaggia. Insomma un inizio soft e al tempo stesso perfetto ☺

We spent our first day in Praslin (actually half a day as we arrived at lunch time) on the beach of Grand'Anse, too tired to really start exploring the island after about 24 hours of air travel, airports and ferry. Relax on the sunbeds provided by the Guesthouse, nap, bath, walk on the beach. In short, a soft start and at the same time perfect ☺
