The Ruddy Turnstone is a small wading bird, one of two species of turnstone in the genus Arenaria. It is now classified in the sandpiper family Scolopacidae but was formerly sometimes placed in the plover family Charadriidae.

Looks like the migration is in full swing for the spring.. The Osprey were all over the place this past weekend.. Here is a shot of one wondering what the heck is he doing? This image was taken on the grayest of days.. Just goes to show the power of shooting raw...

Up state Pennsylvania in the back country. Touring around for interesting subjects to shoot. This one was a families house backyard. If it dies just leave it and maybe it will rust away.. The storm clouds added to the drama..
