&lt;p&gt;Surviving nearly 1400 years by being moved up the side of a gorge to escape floods, the Hanging Monastery is quite a sight, even if your toes are numb and your face is stinging from the blowing ice and snow during our visit.&lt;br /&gt;
In other pictures on flickr, there are loads of people there. I guess the key is to go when it's too cold to enjoy for more than a few minutes.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
