The Cao Dai Temple is outside Ho Chi Minh city, and is well worth a trip. The religion itself is interesting, and the temple and services all have a very exotic feel.

Thail boxing is fascinating and brutal. The fans bet on the fighters during the match, and if one fighter lands a big blow, then there's a flurry of activity as fans make new bets.

Ngorogoro Crater is a fantastic place to see the animals. This was a herd of zebra; on the crater floor are also elephants, rhinos, lions, and most other game seen around this region.

Damascus is well-known for their large souks (market, or bazaar). As Damascus is not heavily touristed, the souks here are still for locals and are very authentic.

Palmyra has some excellent ruins, and compared to Greece or Italy, there are relatively few tourists here.

At Chitwan National Park in southern Nepal, the thing to do is an elephant safari looking for rhinos. This photo was taken from the back of an elephant.
