I spent about 30 minutes playing in the sand with this little boy on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand while my better half got a massage. He had such a great personality and loved to cheese for the camera.

I went back in time the other day and purchased a 35mm SLR. A Nikon FE to be exact. My knowledge of film photography is about as broad as a newborn's vocabulary so I was a tad apprehensive at first. The shop I bought the camera from threw in a roll of consumer grade ISO 200 Kodak film. From the time I loaded that roll in the FE I was hooked. Shooting with this camera makes me see the world in a more artistic way and really makes me appreciate how far camera technology has come in the 35 years since this camera was made.

Single JPEG HDR using Photomatix. Added some contrast and sharpened in Photoshop. I welcome any constructive comments related to the post processing of this image.

We visited the "Korean Hawaii" this past weekend, aka Jeju-do. I'm pretty sure the people that refer to Jeju as such haven't been to Hawaii. I'm just sayin.
