Shot taken in early morning at Rua da Felicidade, Macau SAR.

Rua da Felicidade, known as “Street of Happiness” in English, was once a popular nightlife and red light district in Macau during 1930s to 1940s.

Rua da Felicidade is an old street which is located in southwest of Macau peninsula. It connects with few allies nearby, from Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, and formed the heart of the old inner district in Macau. As one of the oldest streets in Macau, the high historic values are preserved well and can be found everywhere in this narrow street. Two–storey buildings in Chinese Lingnam style were constructed along the roadsides, with charming red awnings, window frames, grey brick façade and the top of the walls are decorated with plaster ornaments features. This is one of my first shots (2007) taken with Fujifilm FinePix A800. I do love this one!

In shot: Hien Lam Pavilion (Pavilion of the Glorious Coming) built in 1824 by Emperor Minh Mang, Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945). The pavilion can be considered as a memorial to those who had devoted their lives to the establishment of the Nguyen dynasty.

The Nguyen Emperors are honored in the Dynastic Temple while meritorious mandarins are honored in the Left and Right Houses on either side of the Hien Lam Pavilion. Because of the holiness of the pavilion, the Nguyen Emperors had decreed that no other construction built in the Citadel should be higher. (Vietnamtourism)

In shot: A famous Hong Kong singer (maybe!!! I don't know his name :)) sandwiched among the local reporters at an outdoor music performance, Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Thanks HEHx2 for updating me who he is. Finally I know he's Đàm Vịnh Lân in Vietnamese (Alan Tam/谭咏麟) - famous Hong Kong cantopop singer in the 80s.

"Civil servants may receive pay cut, rise at same time," South China Morning Post reported.
