047/365 - Corta-Água ou Talha-Mar

Today I took these photos of Black skimmer fishing in the beach . They have a very strange method to get food. They fly very close to the surface of the water, submerging the nozzle open in the water.

The Black Skimmer, Rynchops niger, is a tern-like seabird, one of three very similar birds species in the skimmer family. It breeds in North and South America. Northern populations winter in the warmer waters of the Caribbean and the tropical and subtropical Pacific coasts, but the South American races make only shorter movements in response to annual floods which extend their feeding areas in the river shallows.

Rynchops niger, conhecido popularmente como talha-mar ou corta-água, é uma ave da família Rynchopidae, ordem Charadriiformes.

This is what we might call the fighting in paradise.
A group of about 30 herons were fed in this peaceful place, all managed to enough food ... But these two guys decided to have a battle for control of territory.
The guy who is over this dispute took advantage.
Sometimes I can't understand human violence, but I understand that unfortunately is something natural =/
Although I don't like violence, this scene was very fun ^^
