The Tennis courts at Kits. Someone decided that they should be re-vamped. In May the tore them up and will now spend the whole summer redoing them and ready to open in October - when the rainy season starts!

Frank Venna dropped by Zen to pick up a Softe for his Fuji 100S. Close up of bacon too. He made the fatal mistake of leaving the camera on the table for 15 minutes while making a call. By the time he came back, we had all played with it - and reset all the menu's!

Rather than blocking off the corner, they simply paved it. Nobody walked "around" on the sidewalk - instead everybody stepped on the grass.

Nicely done sunshades. The collapsible Topcor has replaced my red scale Elmar as a Ltm compact 50mm lens. It has a "proper" aperture ring and nice coating. Good contrast too.

They are quite alarmingly life-like - the feet of the Big Bird sculptures at the Village. This looks like it could cart away a small car!

here the shutter drag is quite visible. This was at 1/500s - the right side is about 3/4 -1 stop over exposed. I checked it after one roll and is no considerably less.

The Olympic Village still looks quite deserted, in spite of valiant efforts to sell the condo's there. It has a bit of a studio "back drop" look to it. You expect cars racing by - shots fired and explosions to disrupt the peace any moment.

The Village dog-runs. Initially there were three different ones - small dogs, medium sized dogs and big dogs. Now it seems that they are allowed to mingle. Probably a good ides - trying to explain to a Jack Russel terrier that he is a small to medium size - does not take into account the ego! In their mind they are HUGE!

Parent took the goslings out for a swim. To say that they keep a close eye on them is an understatement - and wayward child got quickly hauled back (and lightly 'nipped". Strict parents - and needed as there is always on kid off in the wrong direction.

It was a rather nice sculpture, made from scrap wood from the Village construction site, but it has now dis-integrated into a pile of trashed plywood.

Dogs can't read (at least I assume so) - so they do whatever they want while the owners tries to make "heads and tails" of the rule sign.

Another Ltm Leica being checked out. Black dial IIIf with a screw-mount Topcor 50mm f3.5. This camera had a slight "drag" on the shutter at 1/200 and 1/500s - but after a roll it straightened itself out and kept to correct speeds. Often mechanical camera just need a couple of films through them to get working fine.
My favorite "plaything" for kids - huge pipe, made from 1/4" steel - pretty well indestructible - though the kids have made some valiant tries.

I was trying to figure out if the wood/paint had aged naturally - or some had spend an inordinate time "distressing" . Didn't realize that I would end up as a reflection.

We are in the middle of a provincial election and everywhere they are touting the benefits of their candidates. I have a simple solution on who to vote for "Would I buy a used car from any of the candidates?" Unfortunately none of the major parties candidates meet my standards - so it becomes a case of picking the least offensive one!
