Arctic-Watchman

SavingMemories posted a photo:

Arctic Fox

Toronto Zoo

Last week I went to the zoo with a GRIPS friend. It was my first time out shooting with another photographer (well, other than with larger groups of photographers). What a great experience! It was so nice not to have someone nagging at you to get going and wondering why you needed 50 million shots of the same animal! Lol

So, on to my gripe of the day: Zoo displays.

1) I would like to challenge an engineer to invent a viewing glass that is impervious to finger and forehead prints, smears, dirt, grime, condensation, rain drops etc, etc, etc, while remaining non-reflective, non-distorted etc, etc, etc.

2)I propose that anyone who touches display glass should automatically get elected to clean the glass on the animal side.

3)I propose that only short people (and preferably photographers) be allowed to design the viewing areas of all exhibits. =^P

4)I’d like to suggest that all evidence suggesting ‘the hand of man’ be eliminated from each and every exhibit.

So there you go. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to add your thoughts to this list (…well, obviously only if your comment is in encouragement and support of my own thoughts! Lol) =^P

I was not planning on posting any of these shots. Each and every single one ticks me off because of the ‘hand of man’ element, whether it is a ceiling or pipes, windows, fake looking habitat etc, etc, etc.

…I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up pulling this posting, therefore don’t feel like you need to comment.

Hope everyone had a really great weekend. I’m still trying to finish with the hockey season photo horror, so it may take me a while to visit all of your sites… but I promise to get around eventually.

Enjoy your week everyone! =^D
