Youtube has released a new channel design recently so xKarenina needed a new channel picture to fit the new specifications.
Light setup was one elinchrom ranger quadra ring flash eco attached to my Canon 5D II from directly above the model without any additional light formers. This way I was able to create a neat modern fashion look and eliminate disturbing shadows on the make-up which I cloned in afterwards in photoshop.

What I like about this scene is that it looks like the gentleman in the foreground is staring at the white line across the entire picture. (In fact he is simply reading the newspaper in front of him but don't tell anyone...)

Second long time exposure with my Cokin ND8 filter in combination with a Hasselblad polarizer which turned out a little to "clear" imo. Maybe I shouldn't have used the polarizer as the reflection of the sky in the water might have resulted in a more silky smooth water surface...
Exposure time was 4 seconds as far as I remember, approx. at f16.

Please excuse my rather sloppy scan. I was so curious how these long time exposures I've made with my new cokin filter system would look like that I forgot about dust removal and other details while scanning the slides... Nevertheless I hope you enjoy the shot.
Exposure time was 8 seconds as far as I remember, approx. at f22.

How would a Leica lens back from the late Fifties perform on a modern digital camera. Well, this is what it looks like: My goofy looking old school 35mm Summicron at full aperture... Quite impressive for such an old lens design I think regarding center resolution although one can observe a typical fingerprint from coma and light falloff in the peripheral zones :)

I love the reddish rust and the blue to greenish aqua tones in this shot. Unfortunately this compressed and resized JPG cannot show the richness in detail of the original DNG file but this is indeed a superb camera with plenty of resolution to work with.
