Photographed on a steep slope near "De Wet" winery, Worcester.
These plants hybridise with Haworthia herbacea at this locality, creating a wide range of variable plants ranging from small single specimen to large clusters, as pictured here.

A steep shaded embankment near the town of Worcester. Plenty succulents here!
Tylecodon, Conophytum, Cotyledon, Senecio, Adromischus, Crassula and Othonna. There are a few tuberous Pelargoniums as well, but barely visible in this picture.

Photographed at Brewelskloof, Worcester. On a steep vertical cliff, no soil, just a small crack in the rock for anchorage. This was a difficult shot as I had to stand on a narrow ledge with my stomach flat against the rock. I put the camera on auto focus and had to hold it and press the shutter button with only one hand. It took a few shots but eventually got it right!

Photographed at Brewelskloof, Worcester. This is a peculiar Conophytum species as there are day, but also night flowering populations known. At Brewelskloof they are colourful and the flowers are open during the day. Not too far away, on the other side of Worcester they are white flowering, only opening at night and attracting pollinators with their sweet scent.

Heading back to Cape Town from Worcester I took the pass instead of the tunnel and I am glad I did otherwise I would have missed the spectacular skies today!

Came from Kirstenbosch a few years back as a small rooted cutting. Now a nice big clump. There are many different forms of this plant in cultivation, but this is one of the better ones, compact, neat, and flowers very well.
