It has been a busy couple of months.....moving in with my fiance, work and adjusting to a new routine. But I had to get a decent photo in somewhere. Just needed the motivation to get out there. Hopefully more will come soon!

....We met on Flickr and we got engaged through photography.
Eric planned this so well :) He picked out a "random" photographer in the crowd of people at the Jefferson Memorial to take a tourist picture of us. Turns out she was Meredith Hanafi, a professional (and awesome) photographer in the DC area. As we looked back at the tourist picture she took, Eric scrolled to another picture that he had taken of a handmade sign that asked, "Rachel will you marry me?"

Best Flickr love story.....ever! Just had to share with my Flickr Buddies :)

All of these awesome pictures were taken by Meredith Hanafi, a fantastic photographer in DC!

In this case the storm is wanted! I can't wait until we get the afternoon/evening thunderstorms. The sounds, the smells, the feeling of a good storm is so wonderful!

Decided to to a quick SP. It has been awhile since I have done a basic one. Didn't feel like going out, and the natural light was too perfect to pass up.

Maybe I am experiencing a photography rut. Maybe I am just feeling lazy when it comes to taking pictures of myself. Maybe I want to just take pictures of other people, instead of myself. At least it is getting warmer in CO for me to venture out and comfortably take pictures.

Trying out some new editing tricks in order to branch out from the usual images I create. I like the HDR look of this image. It makes the surroundings look a bit grungy and raw.

And it has been for almost the last year. Since meeting Eric, my boyfriend, my life has changed entirely. And not just my life, but my attitude towards life. He is one amazing person and I am lucky to have met him and connected with him (through Flickr no less).

My first attempt at stitching together 20 images. I need a faster computer in order to edit under 4 hours.

It was also cold, windy and muddy, so I didn't spend nearly as much time shooting as I did editing.

I have a few shots that I edited for this shoot. You can see the rest on my Facebook. It was cold, to say the least, but my fingers took the biggest hit for sure! It was all worth it though :)

After work I had to rush to get dressed up and drove over to a field right next to my apartment for this shot, to catch the sunset and coulds before they slipped away into the winter night. This was my first test shot, hence the coat. But I loved how it turned out!

I have fallen behind on shooting and posting 52 week pics. I would rather shoot quality images rather than throw a picture together. I'm quite happy with my results this week.
