A shot taken on my mobile phone at the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig at Glasgow Barrowlands last night.

The shot has been given a 'mosaic' style filter effect (original shot was a touch noisy anyway due to the low light), and is titled after one of the band's songs.

Another mobile phone shot of the same group the last time they were playing nearby.

A second foray into casual music photography with a shot of The Jezabels lead vocalist, Hayley Mary during their gig tonight in the basement of Oran Mor, Glasgow.

A very impressive live show, capped with the band happily spending a fair bit of time with fans to sign merchandise and chat afterwards tonight. :) They seem a decent group in that respect too. Taster

Sadly the majority of my pics tonight suffered to varying extents from the low light and were fairly 'noisy' as a result, but this was one of those that came out pretty well considering the venue lighting. I'll no doubt post more up as and when I get a chance to look through them properly in the coming days.

They'd been encouraging fans to take photos/videos/sound recordings of the gig and post them to their Twitter page and website, so that's the reason for my watermarking of this shot. Not something I generally like to have to do, but needs must.

The second of my two mobile phone shots from last night's Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, Scotland. This was taken right at the end of the gig from the very back of the ground floor at the venue, just as the band was wrapping up their last track of the evening.

It's straight out of camera ... or phone rather (aside from the crop to remove a section of 'balcony/ceiling' from the top of the image). I love the lighting on this shot and how it was possible to capture the line of silhouettes of the crowd standing at 'bar level' as well as those on the lower level closer to the stage and the stage itself.

Looking through the other images from the night, I think this is it as far as ones that'll be posted up on here.

My 200th Flickr upload!

The shot above was taken on my mobile phone and has been edited (colourised and cropped to remove a little 'dead space' from the foot of the image).

It's from the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig I attended a few hours ago at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, Scotland. The title's from one of their tracks played tonight.

The weather in this area of Scotland has been horrendous today, with a blizzard and untreated roads making it hazardous to travel, so I was simply pleased to be able to attend this show, as I'd been looking forward to it for a while. The crowd was a lot more sparse than usual as a result of the weather, but the band still put on a great show (though the support act hadn't managed to make it to the venue through the weather). Getting home at the end of the gig when the vast majority of public transport and taxis weren't running was another matter entirely...

I'd taken a handful of shots whilst at the show, and having glanced through them tonight I'm generally very pleasantly surprised at how they turned out, given that it's a 3 megapixel phone camera taking the shots in low light. Consequently, there may be more uploaded in the morning when I am more awake (3am at the time of posting this up!).
