In the treehouse there were all sorts of fancy nooks and crannies. There were levels that partially matched up and other parts that required a little climbing. Mostly there were stairs to get everywhere. This shot is from a half level that came close up to another main level.

I discovered a strange and awesome picture of a Guinness Book of World Records winning treehouse on Flickr, and on further investigation discovered it was in Tennessee only two hours from where I live, breathe and use to study. At that moment I knew... I had to see it for myself.

The Swing was more dangerous than it looked... and it didn't look safe. It was a lawn chair duct taped to rope that extended seven stories into the air with other duct taped sections.

From the second floor balcony it almost looks like a shakespearean stage in the round. He does worship Sunday at 1 for those in the Crossville, TN area. It sounds like he has a local following of about 8 with additional visitors welcome.

The best part might have been meeting the builder. He wasn't at all as I expected him to be. I was picturing an eccentric man, but he seemed pretty normal, despite being the owner, builder and curator of this behemoth treehouse.
