"1942 Best Picture" winner "Casablanca" - 'Here's looking at you kid' Champagne Glasses.

These Champagne glasses were the same ones used in the Academy Award winning film for "Best Picture," "Casablanca" (1942, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman), and were displayed at the "Blessed Realm" table on the night of the gala on June 9th, 2011.. They came to Williamsport via Hugh MacMullan www.imdb.com/name/nm0534040/ (a Williamsport resident)..

The story goes--the production asked Hugh to run down and buy the glasses for the "here's looking at you kid" scene..They shot the scene but had no need for them after, so Hugh kept them..When Hugh retired to Williamsport, then passed away, Hugh left them in his will to a friend..That friend, lent us the glasses that we used for display..

In this photo, the glasses accompany a bottle of "Rowleys Riesling," a commemorative keepsake bottled locally and available for purchase, via the Eagle Rock Winery ( www.eaglerockwinery.com )..
