When I first posted" this, I was stuck on how to make a circle around it, since the largest arches that make a full circle were a bit too small. I finally gave in and fudged it, spacing the arches just a little so that the logo would fit. It's not a perfect circle, but I don't think it's that noticeable.

I've designed my very first Zazzle t-shirt, honoring one of the greatest bricks ever made. Buy it here (nicer fabric, more expensive), or here (cheaper fabric, less expensive).

To make it even more awesome, the stud reads SNOT across the top, so you can honor your favorite building style and your favorite brick at the same time.

This old MOC has survived for over three years because I always intended to incorporate it into a larger scene, but lacked the Lego resources to build something of the scale that I envisioned. My collection has swelled a bit since then, and I've finally started work on the project. This thing will be parked on a landing pad in the large MOC, and so I've retrofitted it with landing gear.

I'm working on a brick-built M:Tron logo for the WIP M:Tron MOC that is currently taking up half the floor space in my New York apartment. I haven't figured out how I'm going to make a circle around it yet--it's a little too big for these and it would be difficult to shrink. I may just cheat and space the arches slightly, in hope that it isn't noticeable.

Did a bunch of building over the weekend. In terms of footprint, this shot shows about a quarter of the model. The finished product will be four by six baseplates, so that it can easily be integrated into a LUG display.

This has been an ongoing project for four months. If I finish it some time before I'm dead, I'll be happy!

Monorail Track

This started out built with very simple techniques--the stuff along the side of the tracks was all built with studs facing inwards towards the track. In place of the dark grey tiles I had dark grey bricks, also with studs facing inwards. But then I discovered that the floor was too thick (the height of the track and the stuff below it put very rigid constraints on that). I had to redesign the thing so that it extends only one plate below the bottom of the track. It was so complicated to put together, I almost I gave up. But eventually I came up with this (deceptively parts intensive/complicated) design, which does what I need.

This is part of a very large MOC that I'm trying to keep under wraps until it's done... but I don't think it could hurt to post this one little detail.

Disclaimer: when I take photograph the finished model, I will use my tripod and Photoshop out the background. =P

I had a few of these lying around on my desk, and I realized they make a lovely stone floor texture when combined en masse. It could also work as a cobblestone street. I probably won't ever use it, since I tend to build space.
