Interesting contrast in this alleyway in Brighton between the renovated properties on the right, and the graffitied, ramshackle old buildings on the left.

Stacking the polariser with a red 25 filter gives some contrast that's absolutely nuts.

I swear I thought this scene was part of the exhibition - it was just too carefully arranged to be coincidence. Apparently not, though.

At least it makes a good photo.

I spoke with this lady in a park in Brighton. She was 83 years old, and seemed to be suffering from some form of dementia or executive impairment; she constantly rambled and changed subjects.

She said that she scours Brighton's dumpsters for discarded bread, which she feeds to the birds. A particular target of her ire was modern supermarkets; it was mostly their old bread and sandwiches in her trolley.

According to her, all that waste was irrelevant to them - it's only used to get them more money, power and sex.

It's hard to completely disagree.

I've got a couple more of her, here.
