I got the Lee Big Stopper to add to my camera gear collection. Went out to Twin Falls, by the Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge and took one photo - this one.

Yeah. I hopped the fence to get this. Don't hop the fence. It's not illegal... just advised against. Down stream the water is very beautiful. It hasn't rained in a long time so the water is pure and clear to the bottom, and the colour of the edge of glass. So beautiful.

For a second, I almost forgot what it was like to take photos in daylight (one reason being I've been practicing night shots for a while, another reason being.. we haven't had a lot of bright daylight lately).

What a GORGEOUS day we had in Vancouver on Sunday. My sister and I took advantage of it and went down to see Lighthouse Park. It was an amazing view of the city and the coast and a pretty laid back hike with lots of people out and about.

Went to Portland this weekend and was a little lacklucter on the photo front. Just uploading some "meh" photos I took a couple months ago for practice-sake! I liked the light glare from the street lights in these ones so i thought I'd post!

I've wanted to shoot in Gastown at night for a little while now, but never made the time. But I'm a newbie with night photography and I jumped the gun this night and headed down a bit too early for perfect lighting conditions. This turned out alright but I'm going to keep working on her, and probably try a few alley pics. Gastown is littered with great architecture and little shops just waiting to be snapped.

That awkward moment you have to ask strangers for money for parking.. because you gave all your change to the homeless guy.

A non-attempt HDR night shot. I wasn't originally going for an HDR shot. I had two photos that I had taken at this location, but with a lack of light around the fountain and trees, I wasn't particularly excited about the outcome of either photo. So I Frankensteined them together and got this. Will probably go back with my flash to give it some oomph the next time. For the time being, practice and location finding is fun!
