This beauty, the Rehearsal Basic Brunette Doll, is by Robert Tonner and is the first of the dolls in the New York City Ballet Series.

She was created in celebration of the sponsorship of the 2006 Nutcracker Family Benefit supporting New York City Ballet and its official school, the School of American Ballet.

This is Robert Tonner's first collaboration with New York City Ballet. Designs in this collection are based upon and inspired by the original costumes of New York City Ballet's production of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™, designed by Karinska.

When I took this doll out of the closet and then the box, I forgot how beautiful she is. Her blue eyes just scream at you.

I realize the hair net above her head in the photo ruins the shot, but her face came out so beautifully, I decided to use it. Consider it her aura. Ha!

Honestly, of all Disney’s villains, I don’t know why I am partial to Cruella. She hurts animals and wears them. She is vicious, cruel, and mean. I think I like her wild hand movements…

Taking a “Well Deserved” Break

This past weekend, my sister was painting and I was empting all the pieces that hold our stuff, washing the china, crystal, and etc., and then, rearranging all it of back in the credenza, breakfront, etc.

Drac, of course, wanted to help. She put paint on her face to see if it looked like make-up, sat in crystal bowls, draped herself with our expensive tablecloths, got her head stuck in a vase, and played with the Lalique animals, and so many other “helpful” tasks.

Naturally, she got tired from all this work and decided to take a break…leaning on one of the unpainted walls. She never did return to continue to “help”. She went upstairs and took a nap with my baby kitty boy.

Boy, those Monster High girls have some shoes!

This black and reflective silver pair belongs to Frankie, Party Time. Their style is rather classic in shape until you look at them sideways…no heels.

Plus, each is a mirror image of the other.

I would love a pair of these in silver and maroon... silver and red... silver and purple …
