&lt;p&gt;Admittedly, this shot looks like an HDR but I assure you, it's not. No hdr, no fusion, no levels, no curves, nada, nichts, nuthin'. As a matter of fact, all fifty or so frames I shot look like it straight out of the camera. The trick was a combination of good light (always key), a small aperture (in this case f/16), long exposure (30 seconds) and most importantly, an ND4 soft gradient filter. Oh, did I mention good light? :)&lt;br /&gt;
